Find a job and keep it (part 4)
Minimize the stress in your life and stay sane. Here is something thatvery few people take into consideration, employers like 'sane' andreliable employees. You must work on staying calm no matter howstressful the situations get (while at work and at home). If you allowstress and crazy people into your life to mess with you, you willbecome so harassed and your employers will believe you are incapablewith your job. They won't want you in the job even if you haveimpeccable skills. It is better to break up friendships with people who create tensionand anxiety in your life. Having toxic friends is dangerous and thiscan cause a great number of hidden stresses, which employers can see.Employers are trained to notice unstable people, so if they get a badfeeling about you, you will not be favored for long and because ofthis, you will be fired as soon as another person is found to fillyour space. If you can communicate clearly and are able to deal with workpressure, you will demonstrate that misunderstandings will not behappening on your shift. This is very serious and important. You needto talk and communicate with your colleagues and supervisors, and atall levels, in your work place without being rude to anyone, even ifby accident. You have to find a way to get along with other employees, even if you really dislike them. If anyone is offensive just staycool; they may be testing you. However, if your employers are actuallyrude towards you, then it may be in your best interest to resign. Ifthis ever happens to you then don't despair because OzFreeOnline.comand the tradingpost.com.au have so many new positions online each dayand you may not be unemployed for long with help from these greatonline sites.Be realistic about the stress of making long trips to and from work, because it can become very depressing. Think about the nervoustension that a long journey will create in your daily life. We aretalking early morning and late afternoon traffic, bottlenecks, and badweather, high fuel costs and time you could be spending with yourfamily and precious leisure time. It is more logical and plausible tofind work closer to your home, so that you will not end up feelingresentment towards your and job regretting your working conditions.

Raising Your Family, While Working From Home
Working at home is not new; it existed in the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance. According to one survey, about 40 percent of the total work force is either work-at-home, or self-employed. This is projected to rise about 20 percent each year.Is working at home for everyone? Definitely not! Not everyone is able to handle being socially isolated. Not everyone is organized enough. Only you know what you are capable of doing. You definitely have to be motivated and serious about this for it to work. If you are serious about working at home, you will probably find a way to make it work for you. If you desire to work, but want a schedule with your family, consider a part-time job you can take while your children are at school. If you have a great desire of certain goals you want to achieve, take a full-time job for a short time. But remember your children. There are many benefits to working in the home, but the most important that come to my mind are: •Time with the family. This is one of the greatest benefits. •The flexible schedule. You save on sick time, take a vacation (if you have things in balance), and have an open schedule for things that may come up. •Convenience. You couldn't find a better place to work. •Reduced costs. You eliminate lunches out, clothing, gas, parking, and traffic. •Fewer workplace distractions. You get more hours actually on the clock. •The potential to achieve a great income. • Healthier body, spirit, and mind! There are many people changing work schedules because they are tired of the heavy toll that commuting takes on their lives. Workplace and commuting stress can result in high-blood pressure, chronic headaches, back pain, alcoholism, drug abuse, and disease. Some companies now offer a compressed work week; many are even offering a telecommute schedule. The compressed work week offers 10-hour work days, allowing a three day weekend every week. Nearly eight million employees now work at home during normal business hours, according to Link Resources. This fastest growing part of the work-from-home population is made up of salaried workers, better known as "telecommuters" or "teleworkers." This not only saves on the wear and tear of the employees, it also saves expense for the employers. If you are serious about finding work at home, I encourage you to be consistent and persistent in finding what you may want to do. It more than likely is not going to work with the first thing you find to do. This is where persistence and determination come into play. You have to be determined you will find your passion and desire and stick with it.Copyright (c) 2007 Iris Shamble
Making money online
Making money online can be easy if you know what type of jobs to look for. This article will give you a quick run over on some of the common types of Internet jobs. There really are endless possibilities but at least this is a start. It is possible to make money online without spending money. For instance you could sell a product of your own. You could write an e-book for example about something you know a lot about. If you are knowledgeable with dogs, write a book about different ways to train puppies. Then you can sell them on the internet. There are people who are willing to pay for information like this. You can also sell someone else’s product. This is called an internet affiliate program. You refer people to a site that you have signed up with and when someone buys something from that site, you get a percentage of what they made. This is one of the most common and easiest ways to make money online. However, it is not always as easy as it sounds, so you should get some good education about it before attempting to try it. You can also sell advertising space, which involves having your own web page, and when you have a large amount of traffic visiting your site, advertising companies will pay you to display their ads on your site. Which ever method you chose will not be an easy one however. There is a lot of work involved in making money online. Many people have been fooled into thinking that they can make thousands of dollars a month after just starting up. This is not realistic. To be successful in making money online, you are going to have to be prepared to work hard, and for a long time for it to pay off. You will also want to make sure you know exactly what you are doing before you venture into any type of online business.

Get that job you’ve always wanted with a great resume.
If you’re looking for a job in this increasingly competitive job market your best chance of securing that job is via a great resume. Remember that a number of jobs are being outsourced so the remaining choice jobs are even harder to come by. The more you can convince an employer that you are the perfect candidate for the position the easier it will be for you to land the job of your dreams.
The first thing you might ask is: “What is a resume?” A resume is a document that informs your potential employer of your experiences, and accomplishments in the best possible light. It also lets your potential employer know what it is you are looking for and what your expectations are as well. It can also state any personal attributes that may impact in a positive manner on your job performance. Examples of this would be an ability to work under stress, punctuality, ability to communicate well with others.
It helps to know in advance what your prospective employer is looking for in an employee. Some of the key qualities are a willingness to share information and ideas. Another is one’s ability to work within a team. Responsiveness to change is important in that it demonstrates a degree of flexibility in the work environment. It also demonstrates a willingness to take risks with new ideas and products.
The first item in your resume is the cover letter. This is the introduction to your personal resume and must be interesting enough to entice the potential employer to proceed further. First address the cover letter to a specific person in charge of resource management. The paper and fonts used should be basic and not distract from the content of the resume. Use the “KISS” principle by keeping your cover letter short and to the point. In your opening you should list why you are writing. Then in the next paragraph ask for the job you are interested in obtaining and explain why you are the best person for the job. Then thank the reader for their time and make sure you leave your phone number and/or e-mail address so that the employer may contact you if any questions arise.
In the resume itself you should list your job descriptions in a chronological order starting with the most recent job descriptions first and then moving backwards. List any technical knowledge first, in an organized manner. Use action verbs and portray yourself as a “go-getter”. Leave out unnecessary personal information. Be concise.
The most common mistakes to avoid are being too verbose. One page should suffice. Do not use fancy paper or fonts, they detract from the content of the resume. Outdated or useless information will also detract from the resume. The most common error of all is selling yourself short. Let the employer know how truly valuable you are.
With these tips you should be able to increase your chances of obtaining that job you want.

The perfect job at only a click away
From the day we graduate college, most of us are looking for that perfect job, the one that we feel we could never get tired of, the one that we’ve been dreaming of since childhood and, of course, the one that guarantees a fair to high income monthly. However, only a few manage to actually find it, often after years of searching whilst trying many other jobs that bring no professional satisfaction whatsoever. In today’s society it has begun to be increasingly difficult to find a decent job in the same field of activity mentioned in the graduation diploma, forcing many people to rethink their plans for the future, starting with the job they want for themselves. The increasing demands and requirements from employers as well as the lack (or insufficient number) of job spots available are the most important factors of a crucial flaw in many modern societies. Although, new business opportunities and therefore new job opportunities open up every day, the unemployment rate is continuously high and the perspectives are not encouraging. A possible explanation would be the fact that the number of college graduates is very high, in fact it is above the possibilities of the job market in almost every country in the world. Along with new times the industrialization era brought collapse to little merchants, craftsmanship and handicraft trades worldwide, hence the great demand for job in fields such as finance, banking, real estate, insurances and investment. The emerging prospects in these fields as well as very attractive possible earnings, has limited the number of choices for many people, which are now fighting for the best jobs available to them. A consequence of this misbalance is the coming forward of online companies that dedicate their activity to finding job opportunities from a wide range of activity domains and for any person willing to try. These companies make their clients fill out a form in which they mention specific and essential information about their proficiencies, past experiences in different domains, current occupation, social background, as well as the desired salary and job preferences you may have. A dedicated staff will study the market for a set period of time to try to find the best job spots available that correspond to the information you provide in the form and show you the options you hold at a certain time. According to the list of open spots you may want to set interviews or choose to wait for a better time in which more appropriate and more convenient jobs open up. This decision is risky if not fully aware of every aspect concerning a particular job offer, and therefore you have the possibility of asking further information at any time. All in all, if you too are looking for the job of your dreams and seem to always be one step behind in finding it then maybe you should try requiring the services of specialized and dedicated online companies that make the search for you, while sorting job offers according to your personal preferences and level of training.
What do I do if I dont have a perfect History?
Background checks can be a pain if you have anything in you past that may be a little grey. Now a days, most companies use them to make sure that they are not hiring anyone that can be a detriment to their corporation. Companies, such as TYSY, AFLAC and government jobs will all be sure to check to ensure that you are the right person for the job.If there is anything in your past, do not wait for the company to find out on its own. Make sure that you are honest and sincere. If the company does discover information about you that you have not divulged, not only will it look bad on your part, there is almost a hundred percent chance that you will not land the job that you are looking for.Depending on how old your offense was, you can contact a lawyer and possibly get your record expunged, this involves the court pardoning you for your offense and wiping your record clean. You offense will still be in the FBI database but will not be present in the local and state databases that background checks are pulled from. If you’re still trying to get a government position then they may pull from the FBI database, just make sure that you are honest and cooperative when asked to explain. The longer time has past since the initial offense the better. Companies, law school and medical schools, want to see reformed behavior. Having this can result in great opportunities. The key is to try. Yes, it may be a little harder to get the perfect job, and you may have to sacrifice a little in the beginning, but a slow, steady approach towards work and life will reap great benefits in the working world. If you do not land the job that you want, take a small step down, create a great resume, and apply for the job while you are still employed at your current position. This tactic is something that most people do not follow. Trying to get a position of great value while unemployed while greatly reduce anyone’s chances of landing the perfect career, remember a slow and steady approach always win out and honest IS the best policy when dealing with a jaded past that you have broken away from. Background checks are nothing to be afraid of as long as you explain and past offenses and remain honest with any employer about your intentions. And when you are hired, they may put you on a longer evaluation period, but this is ok. With a good work history things will pan out wonderful.
